Few photos from the U8 day in Croke Park on August 23rd.
On August 23rd the Cooley Kickhams U8 squad took their place on the hallowed turf of Croke Park.
All boarded the bus at St Marys hall on what was a very damp day and headed off full of excitement and antiscipation.
On arrival we were shown to our dressing room to get ready and warm up.
We then waited in the tunnel til we were called on to the pitch.
All the players took they positions on the pitch ready for the kick off.
Cooley faced a very competent team from Co. Kildare called Ballymore Eustace.
Cooley played really well showing lots of skill and determination in what was a very close encounter.
On the final whistle the teams made their way to the podium in the Hogan stand and everyone got to lift a small replica of the Sam Maguire cup.
This was the highlight of the day for many.
At 12 O’ clock began the stadium tour which was an added extra on the day.
Everyone thoroughly enjoyed this getting an insight in to the behind the scenes events at GAA headquarters.
A memorable day was had by all and a huge thank you to everyone involved in making this happen.
Here’s to many more memorable days out in Croke park for this great club….
